Baklava Express is a NYC based cross-cultural fusion project, led by award winning composer and oud player, Josh Kaye. The band performs original music shaped by a wide range of traditions from Ashkenazi and Mizrahi folk music to the broader musical traditions of the Mediterranean. Drawing on the diverse musical backgrounds of its members, Baklava Express has developed a sound that is both distinctive and defiantly genre-fluid.
