More than a stage.

The Platform brings art to life and people together. This vibrant cultural hub, located inside Kendall Square’s landmark new building at 585 Third St., infuses new energy into the most innovative square mile on the planet—where art meets science meets community. The curtain rises this fall. We can’t wait to see you there.

Developed by BioMed Realty, with operational and administrative support from Global Arts Live, The Platform is more than a performance venue. It is a platform for supporting artists and nonprofits. A platform for work that expands our perspectives. A platform for culture, connection, and conversation.

Spanning 45,000-sq-ft, The Platform houses the state-of-the-art 404-seat Takeda Theater at The Platform; a 3,100-sq-ft Rehearsal Studio; and the 125-seat Tempo Stage located within a vibrant ground-floor commons featuring Bar Tempo, a cafe, public gathering spaces, and an indoor garden.

With three spaces available to rent—whether you’re planning an artistic production, a community celebration, or a one‑of‑a‑kind experience—our doors are open. Learn more about renting The Platform.
