The Takeda Theater at The Platform is a fully equipped, state-of-the-art venue with fixed seating for 404 guests. Its expansive stage, well-appointed Green Room, and dressing rooms for up to 25 artists make it ideal for performances. The theater is designed with audience comfort and an exceptional viewing experience in mind, while also providing performers with a professional environment that supports artistic excellence on stage.

Tempo Stage at The Platform

The Tempo Stage offers flexible seating for approximately 125 and is nestled within the year-round indoor garden of the ground‑floor commons. Adjacent to Upbeat Bar, the space has an open and welcoming energy perfect for community‑driven events.
The 16’ x 16’ stage and large viewing screen invites endless possibilities—jazz ensembles, bands, talks, film showings, watch parties, live interviews, and more.

Rehearsal Studio

Matching the 40’ x 45’ working space of The Takeda Theater stage, the Rehearsal Studio is designed for dance and movement, featuring a fully sprung floor, full-length mirrors along the north wall, and adjacent dressing rooms. The flexible layout accommodates up to 150 guests in auditorium style seating for workshops, presentations, receptions, or film screenings, or up to 50 guests for seated dinners.

EVENT STAFFING

Production Staff
The Platform determines stage production staffing in response to your event’s unique needs and charges back the labor cost to you.

Audience Services Staff
The Platform determines front-of-house (FOH) staffing based on the nature of your event. The license fee includes a house manager(s), usher(s), ticket taker(s) and cleaner(s) for your event.The following FOH staff are available for additional charges: coat check attendant, merchandise table attendant, security, and special event staff.

BACKLINE AND ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION SERVICES

The Takeda Theater and Tempo Stage provide state-of-the–art house lighting, sound, and video that are included in the licensing fee. The following services and equipment are available for your event at The Platform for additional charges: backline (4-piece drum kit, 4-cymbal pack, keyboard with stand and bench, amps, music stands, in–ear monitor system), piano tuning (at least one required with piano use), rehang & restore lighting from/to rep plot.

box office services

Unless otherwise indicated in the License Agreement, The Platform Box Office shall handle all ticket sales for events at The Takeda Theater at The Platform and the Tempo Stage at The Platform. Services include phone, online, and in-person sales.

MARKETING SERVICES

The Platform will include your event in its monthly newsletters, website calendar, and organic social media posts (subject to timely submission of information and materials, and The Platform’s approval of content).

For additional fees, The Platform also offers premium marketing services.

Your payment of the Licensing Fee will grant you the non-exclusive license to use space at The Platform. Your License Agreement will define your specific fees, hours, and terms of use.

FREE COMMUNITY RENTALS PROGRAM

The Platform’s Free Rentals program is a core initiative supporting artists and organizations through access to free performance space. At a time when access to affordable creative space is increasingly limited, the Free Rentals program is designed to have a meaningful and lasting impact on the local arts ecosystem by prioritizing under-resourced artists and expanding opportunities for public engagement. The Free Rentals program is underwritten by Global Arts Live fundraising efforts and the generosity of many individuals.
